Ashley McSwain

Ashley McSwain is the president of Consultants for Change Inc. (CFC) and principal facilitator. She has managed various projects, and most recently served as the Executive Director for Community Family Life Services. Ashley is an adjunct professor for Catholic University, teaching in their Graduate School of Social Work and is a licensed consultant with Maryland Nonprofits. Additionally, Ashley served as Executive Director for a female reentry organization called Our Place DC, serving DC female residents who were currently and formerly incarcerated. For ten years Ashley worked as Deputy Director for the Bucks County Housing Group serving low income and homeless families, where she oversaw the simultaneous management of five shelters and three transitional housing programs while managing and developing a first time home buyer program as well as overseeing four food pantries serving over 500 residents each month, one of which she open and managed its implementation and growth. Ashley is a licensed Social Worker in DC and Maryland and holds a Master of Social Work from Temple University, a Master of Organizational Development from American University and a Bachelor from Temple University in Criminal Justice. She is also certified as a domestic violence counselor and is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Ashley is on the Board of the Sentencing Project and is the Chair of the Segal Seashore Scholarship Committee through American University.
