Jackie Copek
Development Director
Jackie Copek is the Director of Development at The Sentencing Project, where she leads fundraising and strategic development initiatives aimed at advancing criminal justice reform. With a background in nonprofit management and philanthropy, Jackie brings over a decade of experience in fostering meaningful partnerships and driving fundraising campaigns for a variety of social causes.
Prior to joining The Sentencing Project, Jackie served as Senior Associate Director of MOAA Charities at the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), where she played a pivotal role in the organization’s charitable initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, and securing grants to support military families and veterans. Jackie has a demonstrated passion for social justice and community impact, having worked with various organizations, including Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Prince George’s County, the Human Rights Campaign, American Red Cross and St. Francis House. With expertise in major gifts, partnership development, and community engagement, Jackie is dedicated to advancing The Sentencing Project’s mission to create a more equitable and fair justice system.
Jackie studied English Language and Literature at West Virginia University, Nonprofit Management at the University of San Diego, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive.
